American Enterprise Project
FBLA chapters like my school's, Duncan Middle School, can enter to do a community event. My chapter has chosen to help several charities, which if you keep reading you can find out more. In a chapter event, the entire chapter must participate and help out their chosen charity. Winning is based on what you did to help the community and how many hours of effort you have put into helping your charity. Read on to learn more!
About Chapter Events
The Ameican Enterprise Project is one of the events that FBLA has for us to participate in. The American Enterprise Project recognizes FBLA-Middle Level chapters that successfully implement an education program to promote free enterprise. Each state may submit the top two winning reports from its active local FBLA-Middle Level chapters who are on record in the FBLA-PBL National Center as having paid dues by 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time on March 1 of the current school year. Chapters will be recognized on the national FBLA-PBL website. Reports must promote an awareness of some part of the American (free) enterprise system with the school and/or community and answer the Report Fomat questions. The project is intended to help members learn more about the free enterprise system and is designed for chapters participation.
American Enterprise Project Report Guidlines
Report must be keyed in the order of the questions listed in the following Report Format section.
The report must describe an activity on American enterprise/free enterprise that was conducting during the current school year.
The report should be no more than five (5) pages including the cover sheet and attachments and be on standard 8.5" x 11" paper.
Each side of the paper providing information is counted as a page.
Copies should be sent rather than important original documents. Scrapbooks and loose or bulky exhibits are not accepted.
Pages may not be laminatedor bound in sheet protecters.
Report should be stapled in the upper left-hand corner with the cover sheet (page 20)
American Enterprise Project Report Format
Describe the chapter's American Enterprise Project
State the purpose and goals of the project. The purpose and goals should be keyed as numbers or bullets.
Describe how the chapter chose this particular project as an American enterprise activity.
Describe the steps the chapter members used to plan and develop the project.
Describe how the chapter completed the project.
Describe why this project is unique.
Explain the benefits and impact your project had on the school or community.
Explain and give evidence and how the project was publicized by attachingat least one article or flyer.
